Delivery & posting

Sent with Royal Mail

Every new parcel on clothrr must use Royal Mail. Sellers buy their own tracked postage, hand over the parcel and upload their posting receipt and tracking number.

From sale to Post Office

  1. Pack, measure and weigh

Choose the smallest band your packed item actually fits. Socks can be a large letter only if the package fits within 35 × 25 × 2.5cm and 1kg. Packaging counts too.

  2. Post within 2 days of payment

Open the sale for the buyer's address and nearby Post Office finder. Buy Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Tracked 48 and check the service's cover and exclusions.

  3. Keep your receipt

Upload a clear photo of your proof-of-posting receipt and enter the Royal Mail tracking number on the sale. Keep the original until the order and any claim are resolved.

  4. Follow the parcel

The order links to Royal Mail tracking once a number is added. Seller progress updates are labelled as seller updates; they are not independent delivery confirmation.

Delivery allowances

Listing options use Royal Mail Tracked 48 online prices dated 5 October 2026. The buyer pays the delivery amount shown at checkout; the seller buys the postage online with a QR code (no printer needed) and drops the parcel at any Post Office. Paying at the counter instead costs a little more. Check the current price, packed dimensions and weight before publishing or buying postage.

Delayed, missing or damaged?

Check Royal Mail tracking and message your seller through the order. If the parcel is missing, damaged, or marked delivered but you haven't received it, use Report a problem on your order. Do not confirm that everything is good.

Add photos of the item and packaging for damage, and explain what happened. A reported case pauses payment release while it is reviewed. Posting proof helps a review but does not guarantee compensation or a refund; any Royal Mail claim depends on the service's conditions.

The 48-hour item check starts after confirmed arrival. Seller-entered delivery progress alone does not start it. Report problems before that window ends and before confirming that everything is good.
